Battle Comms: Aus 40K Rankings Update... - 30 Jul 2010

A major update just hit the Australian 40K rankings with no less than 7 tournaments being imported. As can be expected this has shaken things up across the board and made for some interesting maneuvres as we march head long into the end of tournament season 2010.

There were 7 events in this update including:

* G'Con (NSW) - Tom Finlayson (Space Marines)
* Northern Heresy (SA) - Tom Damin (Chaos Space Marines)
* Wagga Waaagh (NSW) - Neil Fortiscue (Imperial Guard)
* Tasmanian State Championship (Tas) - David Hill (Space Wolves)
* Winter Warfest (Qld) - Josh McGowan (Eldar)
* Lords of Terra Open (NSW) - David Hill (Space Wolves)
* High Lords of Terra (NSW) - Denis Fung (Tyranids)

Cameron Auty and Michael Boles both managed to maintain their places at the top of the rankings however Matt Eaton rose 2 places to sit in 3rd spot. Tom Damin with his win at Northern Heresy moved an impressive 6 places to now site nicely in the top 5 and Julian Miller sailed into the top 10 moving up 6 places to 8th.

Another impressive mover was Glenn Wilson who with his 2nd place at Lord of Terra III moved up 18 places to crack the top 25. However the guy that takes the cake is Neil Fortiscue who rocketed into the top 100 moving a massive 86 places with his win at the Wagga Wagga event using Imperial Guard.

There were two Best General Icons that changed hands with Brian Merton gaining the Black Templars icon and Luke Jensen gaining the Tyranids one.

Stay tuned as we race towards the end of the year with it looking very tight at the top!
