Highlander Championships: "There Will Be Only One"

Following on the Success of the Highlander Event at Cancon this year and the Great fun that was had with last years Oz Super Series and that will undoubtedly be had with this year’s Oz Super Series I have decided that in conjunction with RHQ I will run a Highlander Series this year.

The purpose of the Event(s) is to provide players with an Event similar to the Super Series but is a little easier for newer players to get in to and that can be used as a building block to get even more players involved in next years Super Series. Obviously it won’t have the some prestige as the Super Series and at 25pts won’t attract full rankings points but it sure bodes to be a lot of fun.

The event will consist of a number of heats throughout the year with the winner of each heat (and the Runner Up pending numbers) earning the right to play in the final and be ‘the one’.

The Final will be a 16 player event Held at Good Games Canberra on the 18th of November. Players will have the opportunity to fight it out for any unfilled final spots in the last minute Highlander Showdown Event on the Saturday (17th) prior to the final.

Highlander Format

Each army MUST include...
  • 1 Warcaster/Warlock.
  • 1 Unit which may include one (only one) UA or one WA.
  • 1 Solo/Warcaster/lock attachment.
Any remaining points may be spent on Warjacks/Warbeasts/War engines. However...
  • No models may be duplicated in the army.
  • No character jacks or beasts/units/unit attachments are allowed with the following exceptions:
    • The Commodore Cannon
    • If they come automatically with your chosen caster/lock.
    • Lessor warlocks & their associated beasts (counted as a solo)
  • Where a jack/beast/solo comes with your chosen warcaster/lock, they also take the 'slot' for their type of model. For example, if you choose Mortenebra as your caster, you will get Deryliss and Deryliss will count as your one solo.
  • Named solos are allowed.
  • With the exception of the lessor warlocks, only models of your faction may be included in your list.
