The Masters

"The Masters" are invitational only tournaments where competitors are invited to attend based on their end of season ranking. They were started in Australia by RHQ founder Andrew Galea in 2004. He ran a 14 man Warhammer Fantasy Masters for the first time that year and continued to build the tournament right up until 2010 which was the last time he was involved.

The Masters concept has been adopted by various countries across a few game systems and you can see below results for the United Kingdom in 2010. With the emergence of Warmachine/Hordes as a serious tournament system the Masters concept has been re-born in the form of the Oz Super Series, another brain child of Andrew that gives out invitations based on performing well at heasts as opposed to rankings.
