The European Team Championship is a Warhammer Fantasy and 40K tournament that attracts players from around the world to compete over 2 days in various cities across Europe. The tournament is run annually and has grown rapidly in the 5 years since its inception to include participants from 32 countries across 3 continents in 2010.
2011 sees the tournament move to the picturesque Montreux in Switzerland where it will be part of the Swiss World Miniatur Expo. More countries are joining the ETC community with organisers hopeful of surpassing last year's record 32 countries.
Each country's team consists of 8 players that are required to field a different army in their chosen game system of either Fantasy or 40K.
The prestige of the European Team Championship has reached unprecedented levels and it is largely regarded as the World Cup of Warhammer.
The 2011 tournament is the most anticipated event of the year with a country from the continent of Africa (South Africa) taking part for the very first time joining the various nations from Europe, North America and the Asia/Pacific region.
